My kids love celebrating holidays, big or small! I wanted to do something special and fun to celebrate Valentine's Day a little early. I decided to start a new tradition of making a fun Valentine's Day breakfast. We had stuffed waffles, heart-shaped waffles, my famous "magic syrup," fruit and "Cupid Floats." I think it's safe to say this new tradition was a success!
Have you ever seen a more delicious Valentine's Day breakfast charcuterie board? This board has all the waffle toppings of your dreams; strawberries, raspberries, whipped cream, apples, granola, sprinkles, maple syrup, and my famous "magic syrup."
Magic Syrup
RECIPE
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup whipping cream
Instructions: Melt butter in sauce pan on low. Slowly add whipping cream and sugar. Stir, let cool, serve.
1 tbs. Avocado Oil (I use this instead of vegetable oil!)
3/4 cup water
Instructions: Spray waffle maker with non-stick spray. Whisk all ingredients together, scoop batter into waffle maker-- just enough so that the surface is covered. Pour desired filling on top of batter in the waffle maker (strawberries, raspberries, Nutella, whatever you want!). Pour more in the waffle maker so that the "filling" is covered. Close waffle maker and wait until your waffle is ready!
