Now that summer is here I've been out in the sun swimming and taking trips to the beach. It's been so fun to get out of the house and take my babies (who both love the water and sand) to play in the sun! I've had lots of questions about my swim/beach looks on Instagram along with what I pack for a summer getaway so I wanted to do a post about it.
I love to wear bright colors during the summer time and also lots and lots of white! I get most of my summer dresses and swimsuits from J.Crew every year and they just launched a bunch of new arrivals!!
Here's my summer must-have list to pack for a pool day or beach vacation:
- Hat: This one is a must! It holds it's shape, even if you shove it in a tote or suitcase!!! Finally!!! Ha packing problems over!
- A few Classic Swimsuits (love this red bikini top and bottom, this white off-the-shoulder one piece,
- Flip Flops: I love these because they are a little nicer than the typical flip-flop. I wear these ALL the time (I'm sure you've noticed on my IG). I also love this lace-up pair!
- A Flowy Cover-up: I love this one because I can be worn as cover-up or on it's own to dinner.
- Beach Tote: This one is water proof! I also love this bag!
- Straw Tote: I always bring two totes with me to the beach or pool. One with toys/towels in it.
- Cosmetic Pouch: I love to have a pouch to put my sunscreens and chapsticks so they don't get lost in my tote. This small one is super cute too!
- Sunglasses
- Good Book/Magazines
- Pool Toys (if you have your babes in tow)
Extras if you're going on a summer beach vacation:
- Clutch/Coin purse
- Dinner Outfit: I always love an all white dinner look, especially on vacation. Effortlessly elegant. This ruffle skirt pairs perfectly with this top or this one!
- Chic Sandals: Love the heel on these.
- Statement Earrings
