Crazy busy week...

Crazy busy week...

Posted by Rachel Parcell on

This week flew by, Drew and I literally had an event to attend every single night this week, and on top of that, we had to squeeze in writing our talks for the coming Sunday. We made it through all the craziness and had a blast!

Monday: Monday morning I got a call from one of my mom's friends in her ward asking me if I would make two vintage headbands for her girls for their family photo that was on Wednesday. Of course I said yes and began to brainstorm some ideas. I started on them right away (with their family pictures on Wednesday I only had one day to create them.)

Through all the mix of designing and creating Drew and I went the Riverside country club BBQ with the Parcells. We had so much fun socializing and eating delicious food! The entertainment for the night was provided by Allred. I don't know if any of you have heard of him but some of my old roommates introduced me to his music my freshman year so he is famous to me and I have to say his voice is AMAZING! Lindsay had no idea who he was so I'm pretty sure she found it odd how excited I was to meet him.

Allred...

After the BBQ I finished the headbands. Here's how they how turned out...

...my family room did suffer severe trauma during the creating process, what a mess!

Tuesday: My mom, Emily, Amy and I went to the Nordstrom anniversary sale and found some cute fall clothes! Later we went to family temple night with the Parcell's and after the temple we went to Texas Roadhouse.

(Drew didn't get the memo to smile)

Wednesday: My papa is on the board of trustees at This is the Place Park. There was an award dinner banquet my family was invited to at the little America Hotel. We got to meet Mr. Mac and Elder Ballard!

Thursday: I went to Katie's bridal shower (my friend from high school). It was so fun to catch up with my old friends! I told Drew I would only be an hour. I was one of the first to say I was leaving, but somehow I ended up being the last person to leave, I couldn't stop talking haha

Katie gets married in the end of July and I'm so happy for her and her husband to be, she'll make a gorgeous bride!!

During the shower, Drew informed me he went out on a limb and bought me a bike so we can ride up Provo Canyon together. When I got home I took my new bike on a test drive, I love it!!

Friday: We woke up bright and early and went on a bike ride with Walt and Tyler. I was nervous because it was my first time up the canyon, and actually my first time on a real bike ride sense I was probably ten. I surprised myself at how well I did and how much I loved it (the scenery is so beautiful) I think I found another hobby :)

Later we went to Goodwood with my mom and dad, then met up with Em and Tay to see Harry Potter. We all loved it, especially Tay and my mom (there the only ones who have read all the books)

Saturday: Drew and I woke up early again to go on another bike ride and this time my dad joined us.

After we helped Em and Tay move out of their apartment then headed straight to Park City for Katelyn's birthday where we shopped at the outlets, ate an amazing Mexican restaurant and rode the alpine slide!

Birthday girl... Love ya Kates :)

When we got back to Provo we couldn't help but treat ourselves to our favorite treat in the whole world...

Through all the fun last week brought us, we some how managed to find time to write our talks and it feels so good to have them over with!!

Relaxing at my parents house, the clouds were a pretty shade of pinks and blues...
